66-Year-Old ID'd After Fatal Motorcycle Crash: PA State Police

A 66-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Northampton County on Thursday, Oct. 31, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

John S. Tompkins of Upper Mount Bethel was driving a 2003 Honda motorcycle in the 700 block of Totts Gap Road of Upper Mount Bethel Township when he struck the guide rail, state police said. 

Troopers were dispatched to the crash at 4:36 p.m. and found him dead at the scene, according to state police. The man's name was not released at the time of publication.

An investigation by the state police Belfast Patrol Unit, Troop M Forensic Services Unit, and the Northampton County Coroner's Office is ongoing.
